Children and Adolescents

In this assessment, the client is required to listen to tones of different frequencies and intensities so that we (the Audiologists) are able to gauge the softest tone the client can hear. In addition, we conduct otoscopic examinations (physical examination of the outer ear, ear canal and eardrum) and a test of the middle ear known as acoustic immittance (or impedance). Finally, we evaluate speech discrimination in quiet conditions at a conversational speech level.

Adults
